Phenakite is one of the rarer stones out there for collectors, and some of the most classic gem quality Phenakites have come from Russia. Phenakite is often pale in color, but the stones are usually bright, and they are durable enough to be worn in jewelry. The Phenakite crystals from Russia are typically not gemmy enough to cut stones of any significance, so to find a stone of this size from this area is rare to say the least. This stone is a very attractive, colorless, nearly eye clean, "cushion brilliant" cut stone that would make a great addition to any rare gem suite or a collection of Russian gems.
