Phantom Quartz (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

A facinating pair of flattened, parallel-growth quartz crystals from Minas Gerais. Two amazing sharply terminated phantoms are clearly visible in the transparent crystals. The phantoms are probably albite, as the back of the piece is coated with the same material. The base is translucent with interior veils. The termination has very slight bruising and the contacting on the back has no damage, per se. RARE and excellent old-time quartz from Governador Valadares from the Bob Trimingham Collection, purchased in 1975.
