Item Description

A stunning, beautifully and unusually colored cluster of intergrown fluorite cubes dramatically set on the contrasting sculptural undulating sparkly drusy quartz matrix. The gorgeous bright sea-green cubes are transparent with frosted and water-clear faces. The dramatic large dominating cube is 5.6 x 5.3 x 4.5 cm and each of the cubes has a remarkable interior phantom. The cluster is very nearly pristine, with only one small spot of edge wear to the large cube. This amazing piece is from a 2020 find at the famous Yaogangxian Mine, a mine that produces a variety of fluorite specimens in a seemingly inexhaustible variety of colors. And yet, this is something new and different, even after all these years of watching the location! Patches of sparkly granular Pyrite are found on the back side of the piece, as a bonus. Bright purple fluorescence! The color leaps out at you and the subtle interior phantoms enhance the piece. Valued at $1000.
