Phantom Calcite w/ sulfides (Wolfe Coll.)

Item Description

Sulfide phantoms are clearly evident in this very aesthetic cluster of glassy, transparent to translucent calcite scalenohedrons from the famous Brushy Creek Mine. The crystals are a light gray. The back of the piece has embedded chalcopyrite and marcasite. Nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of bruising. Calcites of this style are uncommon from here. Ex Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. The former dealer label says the Sweetwater Mine, but this incorrect.
