Phantom Calcite w/ Sphalerite, Pyrite and Galena (Dick Heck Coll.)

Item Description

The dominating, 2.6 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm, sawtooth calcite rhomb has a distinctive, but hard to see phantom of a sharp rhomb in the interior (two generations of calcite). The matrix plate consists of calcite scalenohedrons (some doubly terminated), lustrous, jet-black sphalerites, brassy pyrites and a few metallic galena cubes. This nifty and very showy combo piece is complete all-around, essentially pristine, with only very trivial peripherywear. Ex Dick Heck Collection.. Very light pink fluorescence.
