This showy and excellent CABINET amethyst specimen from the La Sirena Mine at Guanajuato, Mexico is distinctively different, than most you see from any other locality. The sharp, amethyst terminations on this sculptural plate are composed of water-clear, coloress quartz! Looking down onto the crystals gives a surreal phantom-like look, with the rich grape-purple amethyst inside of the quartz. The amethyst faces are lightly frosted, adding additional character. This striking large piece is in excellent shape. A very few gently bruised amethyst points and a bit of periphery wear are noted. Fine, colorful and rich material from this famous locale.
