Item Description
Petzite is an uncommon silver-gold telluride, that is seldom available in visible, rich specimens from any locality in the world. Metallic-gray petzite richly covers one side and is scattered on the other side of the thin vein of green, chloritic quartz. The end face has a couple of micro gold crystals, but they are hard to see in the photo. Old-time, very rare and very rich Colorado material from the long-extinct St. Joe Mine of Boulder County, which was a major producer in the Gold Hill District. The old ink label is art work in itself.
