Item Description
This forsterite var. peridot crystal is highlighted by rare, acicular crystal inclusions of ludwigite, a rare magnesium, iron, borate. It is a superb, unusually sharp crystal for the species, and masses 16 grams. The peridot is transparent, lustrous, and a rich olive green color. In PERSON it is really lime green color, as you want from a Pakistani peridot specimen, which are generally thought to be the world's best of species. This ludwigite-included material is old, different from what is generally still found today, and this particular piece is from the early 2000s (we had it in 2006).
