Item Description
This large, sharp crystal of peridot has an excellent, textbook lime-green color to it. The color is spectacular, and can be seen from a distance, and is much better than most such peridot crystals in this regard. Up close, we need to point out that the left side is a little rough, and there is a conchoidal curving chip missing on the right side of the termination, diminishing the value, although it may look good at first glance. It is from modern finds, and was donated to the museum by the Meieran family. 101 grams. Valued $1000-plus.
