Pentagonite (rare)

Item Description

Despite the rarity of the species, Pentagonite is a well-known mineral, and the finest pieces on the market are those from Wagholi, India. Despite the good number of Pentagonites that have been found over the years at Wagholi, the species is still considered quite rare. This piece features a lovely, 1.3 cm, intense neon blue color "spray" of Pentagonite aesthetically perched atop a layer of micro Heulandite crystals on basalt matrix. The incredible color of the Pentagonite combined with the fact that these are the finest example in the world makes it a very worthwhile specimen. Since there are so many specimens of Indian zeolites (and associated minerals) on the market, they do not get the recognition they deserve, but I want to stress that most of these minerals are incredibly fine quality and in a lot of cases the best crystallized examples of their respective species ever found.
