Item Description

The world's finest examples of pentagonite, a very rare hydrated Ca-V silicate and dimorph of cavansite, easily come from the famous Wagholi quarries. This striking and sculptural vug in basalt is highlighted by the dramatic 2.2 cm spray of neon-blue blades set on the side of a sharp, celadonite infused green calcite rhomb. The spray looks like a crown or tiara and the long blade is 1.1 cm. The very 3-dimensional vug is lined with sparkly, tiny, colorless, stilbite blades. This exceptional and very fine combination has been expertly prepared and is from a New Find. Valued at $1750-2000 and worth it.
