Item Description

The Jeffrey Mine in Canada can lay claim, in addition to the world's best Garnets, to some of the finest Pectolite crystals found. These well-formed clusters of bladed to tabular Pectolite crystals have excellent luster, good gemminess, and are a medium shade of gray. Many reach 1.5 cm in length. The white to gray matrix has moderate fluorescence, though I am not quite sure exactly what its composition is. This piece likely dates to the 1970s or early 80s. A large and very fine specimen for this famous mine.
