Item Description
Pectolite is the calcium analogue of serandite and is a member of the wollastonite group of mineral species. Superb serandites are synonymous with Mt. St-Hilaire, Quebec and superb pectolites are synonymous with the Jeffrey Mine of Quebec. This aesthetic specimen features a choice spray of glassy, tabular, light grayish-green blades attached to a white matrix. This is a fine specimen from the Alfred Stevenson and Eugene Carmichael Collections and has a September, 1974 date on the back of the Stevenson label.
