Item Description

Pectolite is the calcium analogue of serandite. A 1.5 cm, sharp glassy, upright pectolite crystal proudly dominates a vug lined with flat-lying crystals on this showy and excellent example from Mont Saint-Hilaire. This is a fairly large and unusually well formed crystal for the species and famed locality. The base has been sawed to enhance the display. Classic material from the Al Ordway Collection # 5813.
