Parsettensite (rare) & Neotocite (Vajdak Coll.)

Item Description

Parsettensite is a rare layered manganese silicate and neotocite is an amorphous to poorly crystalline, hydrated Mn silicate found in metamorphic manganese deposits. The layered matrix holds narrow veins of of copper-red parsettensite and much broader veins of dark brown neotocite. Specimens of any variety are extremely rare from this obscure mine. A very rare, rich and showy combination specimen from this extinct locale. The Minerals Unlimited label dates to the mid to late 1950s.
