Parisite (Montana!)

Item Description

Parisite is a rare, rare-earth carbonate and the Snowbird Mine is in a rare earth pegmatite. This sharply tapering, yellowish-brown crystal has moderate to flashy luster and classic pseudohexagonal form. The termination is pristine and the mostly out-of-sight contact on the lower back has no damage, per se. OLD, RARE, seldom seen material, with most production in 1955-56.
