Item Description
Here we have an aesthetic thumbnail sized specimen of the well-known rare Parisite-(Ce) specimens from the Snowbird Mine in Montana. A handful of crude crystals of dark golden-brown, prismatic, pseudohexagonal Parisite-(Ce) measuring up to 1.7 cm long free of matrix form this attractive overall specimen. These pieces date back to the mid 1950s, and are nearly impossible to get your hand on these days. From the worldwide collection of David Burgess (1951-2016). David was a prolific species collector from Newington, Connecticut, and the namesake for the extremely rare cobalt arsenate species Burgessite, which he discovered.
