Item Description
A RARE, unusually GEM parisite locality piece from this important rare-earths locality. The famous large Trimouns Talc Mine is noted for REE species. A 3 mm, gem golden-yellow tapered crystal has unusual sharp and totally gemmy form accented with striking striated prism faces. It is aesthetically set on the sculptural dolomite matrix. Small, but GORGEOUS! Ex Dr Francesco Bedogne Colllection # 214. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector. Read his biography in the Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=118. Outstanding and rare style from this locale and for the species, among the finest crystals you can imagine as a micro for photography.
