Item Description

A rarely seen matrix specimen of Parisite-(Ce) from the famous Muzo Mine. The piece hosts notably sharp and lustrous gemmy rich golden-orange color monoclinic (pseudohexagonal) crystals of this relatively uncommon rare-earth carbonate on contrasting silvery Calcite matrix. The largest Parisite meaures 1.5 cm which is good sized for the material, but the fact that it's sharp AND lustrous with good internal gemminess makes all the difference since so many from this area are dull and somewhat rounded, and rarely found on matrix. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, and valued at $700.
