Item Description
This is a first as we've never seen a specimen of Pargasite (or any specimen for that matter) from the Twin Lakes Limestone deposit. Sharp, well-formed, lustrous, chocolate brown colored crystals of Pargasite measuring up to 4 mm sitting on limestone matrix. I can't compare it to anything, but I think the quality is quite good. If you collect California minerals, this is superb opportunity to add a piece from this obscure locality to your collection. You only find pieces like this in old collections, and they are seldom available on the market. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12306). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
