Item Description
A good quality, sharp, lustrous, Pargasite crystal with notably strong green color is aesthetically set on the marble matrix to create this eye-catching small cabinet display specimen. A few smaller Pargasites can be seen on the piece, but they are incomplete. The main crystal measures 1.1 cm. With some decent backlighting, you can see a bit of translucency, stronger on the edges. Pargasite is an uncommon very complex silicate species and is usually a rather dull, unattractive, dark-colored rock-former, so when you get crystals of this size, sharpness and COLOR, it's a big deal. Such specimens were collected in the late 1990s to early 2000s, with none since.
