Item Description

Paratacamite is a relatively uncommon secondary copper mineral. This very rich specimen is from the Geevor Mine of Cornwall, rarely available on the market. Microcrystalline, sparkly, brilliant green and dark green paratacamite crystals richly cover all sides of this specimen. Rich ore, as this piece is quite hefty for its size at 137 grams. The area around this historic mine was intermittently active from the late 1700s until 1990. Ex Alex Williams and Wes Parker Collections.
