Papagoite on Calcite (RARE)

Papagoite from the obscure old Namibia Sinclair Copper Mine is extremely RARE. MINDAT lists the species, but there are no examples in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery. Papagoite is an Ultra Rare Ca-Cu-silicate. MINDAT lists only four world wide localities. Rich, bright sky-blue crusts and inclusions in the sculptural calcite matrix cover much of the small cabinet on this extreme rarity from this far less well-known Namibian locale. Formerly in the Charlie Key Collection, well-known African specialist who passed away in 2021. We purchased Key's collection and this sold to Vasco in the early 2000s. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection. Valued at $750 or more for extreme rarity.
