Item Description
Papagoite is a VERY RARE copper-related silicate. This is a KILLER, UNPOLISHED natural quartz crystal that displays as RICH a zone of concentrated, turquoise-blue ajoite inclusion that you can ask for. Truly a very fine small cabinet by ANY standard for the collector of all things quartz, copper or South African. This super piece is from the famous, small, 1985 find from the famous Messina Mine of South Africa, source of the VERY BEST ajoite-included quartz crystals. The Papagoite phantom is FABULOUS! The termination is pristine and the contacting on three sides near the base is noted, but is certainly not a visual detraction to this gorgeous and unique specimen. Complete all-around. Valued at $900-1250. NOTE: I ALWAYS GET THE TWO SPECIES MIXED UP, SORRY - THIS IS PAPAGOITE, NOT AJOITE, IN QUARTZ. VALUE REMAINS THE SAME IF NOT HIGHER
