Item Description

A good, representative example of the rare borosilicate Oyelite, associated with the equally rare Gageite. The habit of the Oyelite is in strands of sharp, clean white .5-1 mm needles well distributed over the mineralized surface. Intergrown with the Oyelite is brown, 'felted' Gageite, a rare hydrous manganese silicate. While not the most elegant of specimens, it is a quality thumbnail with the association of two rare species.
