Ottrelite (rare and old)

Item Description

Ottrelite is a rare member of the chloritoid group and is the manganese-rich analogue of chloritoid. Sharp, lustrous, platy crystals to 2 mm are scattered on both sides of the palm-sized slate matrix, making this an important reference specimen. Documented specimens from the Type Locality are extremely rare; and it has an old Stuer Collection label enclosed with specimen.
