Item Description

A super sharp and fine, centrally located, 2.8 x 2.8 cm, tan orthoclase crystal is the highlight of this aesthetic and excellent large orthoclase crystal plate from this well-known Spanish pluton. The adjacent 2.6 cm terminated quartz crystal and smaller quartz crystrals are fine accents. This outstanding combination example from the Sanabria Collection was illustrated on page 39 of the April, 2008 issue of Spanish mineral magazine Bocamina, which was devoted entirely to the La Cabrera Pluton.
