Item Description

An aesthetic and excellent cluster of very sharp, euhedral, orange-brown orthoclase crystals from a famous Ontario locality noted for past whopper crystals, ie., a 700 pound apatite and zircons and titanites to a foot long. The large crystals, to 4.8 cm, are moderately lustrous, translucent and striated. Orthoclase is rare from this locale. That's a sharp 3.1 cm augite or hornblende crystal in the matrix. Old-time and rare material from the East Coast collection of Clifford Joseph.
