Orthoclase (twinned) & Schorl

Exceptional combination of three very fine Schorl crystals attached perfectly to a Carlsbad Twin Orthoclase crystal. The tan Orthoclase, 3.5 cm tall, has a fish-tail termination caused by continued growth of the twinned crystal. The terminations are slightly etched, but only slightly. The three very lustrous, terminated Schorls are orthogonal to each other, making a dramatic cross at one end of the Orthoclase. Realistically, you could display this vertically, in either direction! Very aesthetic, MUCH better in person, as the sharp contrast between the two minerals made it hard to balance the exposure properly. NOTE WE HAD PREVIOUSLY, IN ERROR, LABELLED THIS AS A MANNEBACK TWIN STYLE.
