Item Description
A cool association piece from Norway dating back to 1975. The label gives a specific locality, but I can't find reference for it in any database. Vega«rshei is a municipality in Aust-Agder County, Norway and the piece more than likely came from this area due to the detail of the label. Sharp, very well-formed, pink blocky crystals of rather lustrous Orthoclase (some of which are twinned) are intergrown with grey-white Quartz crystals. The largest crystal measures up to 1.2 cm. A fine display piece and a really attractive overall specimen, especially when viewed up close. The label states that the piece was acquired from G. A. Hertveit.
