Orthoclase (fine quality)

Item Description

Elba Island is one of the great old classic European localities, famous for its pegmatite minerals. This piece is a showy and fine quality display specimen featuring an excellent, very sharp, blocky, well-formed, porcelain-esque off-white colored crystal of Orthoclase measuring 3.0 cm, associated with minor Quartz and Albite on additional Feldspar matrix. One edge of the main Orthoclase is has a separation mark where it was contacted presumably as it was detached from the pocket wall. Still an attractive and certainly desirable specimen for any fan of worldwide Feldspars, minerals of Italy/Elba or pegmatite minerals.
