Orthoclase Feldspar and Schorl

Item Description

Sharp, attractive single prism of Orthoclase, with included Schorl crystals. The tan crystal has good luster, and the surface has fine parallel features that are either growth features or fine etching. One side has a long, even section in which it appears the very outermost paper-thin layer has peeled off. It looks so clean that it would be easy to mistake this as an unusual growth feature. The termination is complex and attractive, and the tiny, mm-size Schorls are highly lustrous. A good, quality single Feldspar.
