Item Description
Notable example of a classic twinning form of Orthoclase, the Baveno Twin, from one of the most famous historic localities for minerals in Japan. This single twin is slightly over 5 cm long, well-terminated, and it has excellent luster. The internal structure within the crystal is quite common for K-Feldspar, and adds to the interest of the piece. Overall, this is an aesthetic specimen, and a great example of this type of twin. From Tawara, Japan. From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey.
