This is one of the most classic localities for gem grade Orthoclase in the world. It's actually a very old Dana locality. Most Feldspar in the world is opaque, and rarely translucent, but to find large GEM quality stones like this is remarkably rare. The stone is a very pleasing soft golden color gem with a standard "oval brilliant" cut. This stone is a from a very old stash of gem rough, and is nearly eye clean!
