Item Description
These gorgeous Russian orpiments are possessed of one of the brightest and juiciest orange-red hues you will find in the mineral kingdom! They form in sparkly, ball-like clusters, which, observed closely, are actually extremely gemmy, euhedral crystals stacked closely together - of a higher quality, in fact, than even the famous Nevada orpiments - only smaller. This particular piece has an uncommon for the find, gemmy, colorless barite blade attached. The bit of golden-yellow color is a fine contrast, as is the orpiment on the white matrix.
