Item Description
The orpiments from Nevada have made people lose sight in some respects of what was formerly the classic orpiment locality, PERU, where this specimen came from. And in fact, for Peru, these crystals are pretty sharp and even have a slight amount of luster to them, which is uncommon for this locality. Deep orange red color Orpiment crystals are surrounded by grey Quartz and minor octahedral Pyrite. From the Harold Urish collection.
