Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, bright burnt-orange, orpiment crystals to 9 mm are richly and aesthetically strewn on the constrasting black matrix on this excellent specimen from the famous Getchell Mine. This is very fine quality and uncommonly colorful orpiment from this noted locale. The modest bit of periphery wear is certainly not a detraction. Probably older material. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained from Richard Barstow in 1977 for 15 pounds.
