Item Description

A sparkling, riveting orange color makes these instant classics - well, made them so, back in the day. They came, and went, and we have not seen such things come out of here in 20 years. This specimen is a very fine small cabinet piece from the late 1990s mining here. It comes from one of the major Nevada collections, of Scott Kleine. The piece was featured in the American Mineral Treasures exhibition cases (40 cases, each for a major USA locality), on floor exhibit at the Tucson show in 2008. Scott was the collector in charge of that case, and also wrote the chapter in the companion book American Mineral treasures. This is from his personal collection, as noted on the label. Scott valued this at $3500 and only recently parted with it after holding for 20 years in his collection.
