These gorgeous Russian orpiments are possessed of one of the brightest and juiciest orange-red hues you will find in the mineral kingdom! This piece has sparkly, low profile, ball-like clusters, which, observed closely, are actually extremely gemmy, euhedral crystals stacked closely together - of a higher quality, in fact, than even the famous Nevada orpiments - only smaller. This particular piece is in great shape and is fine miniature. The contrast of the orpiment, contacted luminous golden-yellow sides on the banded white matrix is dramatic!
