Item Description

Highly coveted today, this Orange Prehnite is from a small find discovered in 2000 at the famous N'Chwaning II Mine. The Orange Prehnite crystals are in fine, gemmy, blades up to about 4 mm long, the sprays are rich, dense, and attractive. They rest on white Xonotlite. Overall, very good aesthetics. THIS IS THE ONLY FIND OF PREHNITE IN THE KALAHARI DISTRICT PROPER, and is considered a geological oddity. These orange crystals were first thought to be inesite. Still to this day, they are unique and command high prices. valued $500
