Item Description

Attractive, very delicate, jackstraw cluster of rare orange Prehnite from a small, 2000-02 find at the famous Nchwaning Mine. The cluster is composed of very gemmy Prehnite blades up to 8 mm long, and they are associated with gemmy Calcite crystals that average about 3-4 mm. The orange color is pure, and very pleasing to the eye. An excellent thumbnail with a very good association. There is a whole scientific paper on them written by Bruce Cairncross as Prehnite seems to be significant in its rarity in the Kalahari fields. valued $400
