Item Description
A striking and rare LARGE CABINET orange creedite with fluorite specimen. This large, pincushion-like specimen of connected intergrown balls of creedite and covered with gemmy, burnt-orange to colorless crystals is nicely highlighted by several octahedral crystals of lightly etched, translucent, sea-green fluorite. Good creedites were rare and expensive from ANY locality, until these orange ones were found in Mexico. Suddenly, you could own a really fine creedite without selling your house to get it. Then, we heard that the mining was FINISHED, apparently for good. So if you do not have one, well, here is another chance to get a really good, really rare combination piece. We were lucky enough to put some aside before the mining stopped. This is a beautiful and aesthetic specimen does have some brusing, but considering its size and geometry, it is very minimally detracting. The is an excellent large cluster of creedite and is a very showy, elongated puffball-like cluster of creedite balls with rare fluorite. STRIKING.
