Item Description

A striking specimen of a pineapple-like ball of creedite with a bit of attached matrix. It is covered with gemmy, rich burnt-orange crystals from the recent of August, 2009 find. The crystals reach 2.0 cm and the uniform rich orange is UNCOMMON for the find. This particular piece does has two contacted spots and a few small areas of broken crystals, but is only a very modest detraction. This is a very showy, puffball-like cluster of creedite crystals with rich than normal orange color. The creedite crystals in this find are generally larger and gemmier, than earlier finds. STRIKING. A piece of higher than normally seen quality, from the noted Mexico Collection of Jason New (who highgraded the lot as it came from the mine which his company controlled at the time).
