Item Description
Some of the most well-known multi-color Opal specimens have been found in various localities in Mexico. This piece is from an older find, dating back to the 1970s and featuring a somewhat spherical nodules of rhyolite with a pale tan-pink hue, but if you can see the one of the exposed edges reveals a patch of brilliant multi-color Opal with vivid blue, green, yellow, gold, orange and red hues that can be seen when the piece is rotated in the light. It's a good reference quality example for the material, and these pieces are not coming out in any quantity these days it seems.
