Item Description

Black Opal is one of the most distinct, popular and valuable varieties of Opal in the world. The finest examples of Black Opal come from Lightning Ridge, Australia, which has been a prolific producer of superb Opals for years. This cabochon cut stone features beautiful reflections of electric green and purple which are sitting against a grey background. The vibrant color of the Opal against the background makes for a lovely stone, which would do well in a pendant or loose as a great addition to your gem collection. This stone is a SOLID Opal, and not a doublet or a triplet, which makes it more valuable and worthwhile for a collector. Priced at $2,845 retail ($250 per carat) in our inventory.
