The finest examples of Black Opal come from Lightning Ridge, Australia, which has been a prolific producer of superb Opals for years. This cabochon cut stone features beautiful reflections of electric green and purple which are sitting against a grey background. The vibrant color of the Opal against the background makes for a lovely stone, which would do well in a pendant or loose as a great addition to your gem collection. This stone is a SOLID Opal, and not a doublet or a triplet, which makes it more valuable and worthwhile for a collector. Priced at $2,845 retail ($250 per carat) in our inventory.
