Opal is a diverse gem found in many styles and color. Additionally Opal ranges from opaque to transparent, and can be just as colorful in all instances. Several years ago we started seeing some interesting and good sized examples of gem quality honey colored Opal coming out of Hungary I remember seeing similar gems years ago from Brazil, but these Hungarian stones are larger and have a richer color for the most part. This "Portuguese Round" cut gem has a gorgeous honey-orange hue, with good internal clarity.
