Item Description
Going back several years, we started seeing some interesting and good sized examples of gem quality honey colored Opal coming out of Hungary. The funny thing is that I distinctly remember seeing similar gems years ago from Brazil, but these Hungarian stones are larger and have a richer color for the most part. This "Oval Brilliant" cut gem (NOT a cabochon) has a gorgeous honey/burnt orange hue, with good internal clarity. The stone looks slightly darker in the photo than it does in person, so please keep this in mind when bidding. If you collect Opals, or you're simply a fan of gems from unusual locales, don't miss out on this one, as it's one of only a handful we have to offer.
