Item Description
An attractive specimen from Queretaro, Mexico featuring a gemmy central patch of rich orange colored Opal set in tan colored rhyolite matrix. When the piece is rotated in the light, it shows beautiful multicolor flashes. The piece has been cut into a "cushion" shape, so it easily could be set into jewelry if one desired. A lovely piece of this old classic material. The stone weighs 4.7 grams (23.5 carats).
