Item Description
Sections of this RARE large Thailand fossilized tree trunk or limb from this most obscure locale are opalized and fluoresce a rich neon-green under SW UV light. The golden-brown areas are the opalized sections of this fascinating rarity. Obtained by Chet Lemanski from local tribesmen in 1968 while stationed in Khorat by the US Army from borrow pits to build a nearby air base. This was during the Vietnam War. Mass is 989 grams or 2.2 pounds. A MUST for the opal collector!
