A newly mined piece of this exciting Precious Opal replacing Petrified Wood from the Java, Indonesia This piece features pockets of highly colorful Precious Opal which shows bright color flashes of red, gold, orange, yellow and green in brownish-black Petrified Wood. The specimen is slightly polished / rounded to help the Opal really shine. The Opal honestly doesn't need a strong light to show off the color, and it's really pretty when viewed up close. These come to us direct from a friend who travels directly to Indonesia to buy material. It's very worthwhile for collectors becuase it's not just a mineral specimen, nor a gem specimen nor a fossil, but a combination of all three. Weight is 17.55 carats (3.51 grams).
